2020 Tournament Week Arrives

Monday, Sept. 7th, 2020

North Augusta, SC–For the second consecutive year, the annual AJGA Vaughn Taylor Championship will be held at Mount Vintage Golf Club in North Augusta, SC.  Originally scheduled for the summer, and slated to be three rounds, the event is now a two day tournament, with a qualifying round slated for Thursday.

After the qualifying round, the Jim Burton Memorial Junior-Am will be held on Friday, September 11th. The opening round is a day later followed by the final round on Sunday, the 13th.

Currently, there are 63 boys and girls in the field with the final spots up for grabs on Thursday.

Despite the Championship being pushed back, the event features the strongest field to date. Cayden Pope, of Lexington, Kentucky,  is the highest ranked boy in the field as he is 63rd in the country.  On the girls side, Izzy M. Pellot of Florida, is the highest ranked girl in the field, at numbe 95.  All told, there are currently 20 states represented.

All competitors will go off #1 tee both days and due to Covid-19 restrictions, no spectators will be allowed. For scoring, check out http://Ajga.org
